Ex-vivo skin model to study the skin microbiome

The ex vivo skin model "HypoSkin" developed by Genoskin allows the analyses of the human skin microbiome. The specific distribution of the microorganisms in the different skin layers and the changes after 7 days of culture could be shown. This method could be used to detect changes after the application of pharmaceutical or cosmetic products.
