Ex vivo skin model to study local immune reactions
CompanyGenoskin, Toulouse, France
With the ex-vivo skin model "NativeSkin" developed by Genoskin, the local immune response during skin treatment can be observed.
It has been shown that application of Viaskin Peanut (a band-aid for the therapy of peanut allergy) to the skin model leads to penetration of the antigen into the epidermis and its uptake by Langerhans cells within 24 hours.
