This LCBDE trainer simulator allows the training of transcystic laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (TLCBDE) and cholecystectomy. The trainer includes a liver, gallbladder, common bile duct and simulated gallstones. Despite the simple look, the key exercises can be performed realistically and the curriculum designed around the training system is a cutting-edge learning platform that features audio, video and interactivity and makes training for this procedure more efficient and effective. The whole system was developed at Northwestern University, Chicago.
