The upper half body model is suitable for thoracic trauma training. The realistic anatomy and the texture allow the identification of anatomical human landmarks and training of various life-saving techniques for securing the airway and treatment of obstructive shock. Procedures as the following can be trained: puncture and incision of the cricothyroid ligament, left and right thoracentesis due to pneumothorax, left and right thoracic drainage as well as pericardiocentesis (including simulated blood drawing).
