OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals, Paris, France
This Test Guideline provides an in chemico procedure to discriminate between skin sensitisers and non-sensitisers. The DPRA (Direct Peptide Reactivity Assay) addresses the molecular initiating event (protein reactivity) leading to skin sensitisation by quantifying the reactivity of test chemicals. Three test methods are currently included: Direct Peptide Reactivity Assay (DPRA), Amino Acid Derivative Reactivity Assay (ADRA) and the kinetic Direct Peptide Reactivity Assay (kDPRA). Validated and regulatory accepted under OECD test No. 442C.
